EmpuriaTapes is a popular tapas route that takes place annually in early October in both Empuriabrava and nearby Castelló d’Empúries. During this event, around 45 local bars and restaurants offer a wide selection of tapas at just €3.50 each — including 35 savory and 7 sweet creations.
Visitors receive a "tapas passport" and can rate each tapa using a QR code. Those who participate in voting are entered into a prize draw, with chances to win restaurant vouchers, hotel stays, canal boat rides, or even a tandem skydive — fitting for a town known as Europe’s skydiving capital.
